Legal Assistant Career Details
Kohnen & Patton LLP is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented legal assistant to provide essential support to attorneys in preparation of legal documents, case management and various administrative tasks.
Job responsibilities include:
- Prepare, revise, format and finalize legal documents;
- Electronic filing;
- Organize and maintain legal files and records;
- Schedule/coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements;
- Communicate with clients via telephone and email;
- Perform general office duties, i.e., photocopying, faxing, and data entry;
- Word processing;
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism; and
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Ideal Candidates
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to efficiently work for multiple attorneys in a variety of practice areas;
- Experience with court filing procedures; and
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Legal Assistant or a similar role.
